How to Learn Practically Anything

Brad Matthews tech and digital category

I have no idea where this came from, just found it in my notes and it seemed worthwhile to share. Apologies if plagiarisms.

Tomorrow I’ll fill this out for myself and explain how I plan to up skill myself in the coming weeks and months.

Learn anything

  1. Set a goal
  2. Define a skill you want to develop
  3. Read 5 books on the topic
  4. Use 3 programs or videos (multimedia content)
  5. Attend 1 seminar on the topic
  6. Spend 30 minutes each day consuming content (such as podcasts) related to the topic
  7. Study daily and work on the skill—active ‘doing’ not passive consuming knowledge
  8. Pick main 3 ideas about what you’re learning
    1. Implement one idea immediately
      1. Measure the improvement over 30 days
      2. Review, adjust, repeat
    2. Implement the second idea
      1. Measure the improvement over 30 days
      2. Review, adjust, repeat
    3. Implement the third idea
      1. Measure the improvement over 30 days
      2. Review, adjust, repeat
